Optos Daytona Plus
Our brand new Optos Daytona plus provides ultra wide field digital images of 200 degrees or up to 82% of the retina in a single, non-contact optomap image. This advanced imaging technology can sometimes be used in lieu of dilating drops to help make sure your eyes are healthy while accommodating your busy schedule. Come in and find out more today.
Optical Coherence Tomographer (OCT)
The OCT is a non-invasive imaging technique that uses coherent light to capture micrometer resolution of the retina and other ocular tissue. This technology has revolutionized the diagnostic capabilities in eye care, allowing for earlier diagnoses, precise monitoring, and faster treatment protocol when needed. Common conditions where the OCT is utilized include: glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetes, hypertension, and UV damage.
Humphrey Visual Field
The Humphrey visual field measures a patient’s visual field (centrally and peripherally). This device is commonly used to help diagnose and monitor glaucoma, but it is also a life-saving tool used when diagnosing or ruling out neurological disorders such as strokes and brain tumors. Another common use for this device includes monitoring for retinal toxicity related to use of medications such as Plaquenil.
Retinal Digital Imaging – Fundus Photography
A high-definition digital image of the retinal area helps your eye doctor diagnose and manage eye diseases in the delicate retinal area. Damage to these delicate structures of the retinal area is often the first sign of systemic diseases such as MS, diabetes and more. The retina is the “window to the body” and routine retinal imaging can help your eye doctor monitor the changes in your eye health from year to year.
